Code of Conduct

In accordance with our educational goals and objectives, we understand discipline as part of one’s education, and therefore as a gradual process that requires close cooperation between the school and the home. The messages the students receive in terms of respecting rules, accepting limits, and reinforcing values must be consistent.

Conduct evaluations are performed based on the following criteria: responsibility, honesty, truthfulness, mutual support and respect for others.

Merit System

At every Monday assembly, students are motivated to want to learn and are rewarded for their efforts in achieving their goals.

Every Monday, students who have participated in any type of competition (academic, sports, cultural or social) will be recognized by their classmates and teachers.

As of April (first Monday), tutors will give a ‘MERIT’ to students for efforts in academics, cultural activities, sports and for positive attitudes. These ‘Merits’ will be given throughout the year every four weeks.

Penalty System

Students who display any negative attitude will be given ‘DEMERITS’ according to their behavior, the accumulation of which will be grounds for a ‘PRE-WARNING’ (DISCIPLINE - BAD MANNERS and RESPONSIBILITY). This includes: not doing homework, attending school without the proper uniform, not bringing the Lesson Book, lack of discipline or punctuality, among others.

The ‘Pre-Warning’ may be given directly, depending on the student’s misbehavior.

The third ‘Pre-Warning’ will be grounds for the student to be given a ‘WARNING’.

In addition, a ‘Warning’ will be given to any student who commits a serious offence, which includes: disrespecting a teacher or classmate and irresponsibility.

The third ‘Warning’ will be grounds for one day’s suspension.
